The 2010 Silicon Valley Latino Leadership Summit is presented by Es Tiempo, LLC., and Hispanic-Net. The Leadership Summit will bring together 150 business, government, educators, industry leaders, as well as group of selected MBA, and undergraduate students, for a one-day conference at Quadrus Center on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park. The Conference is designed to inspire and develop innovative change for future Latino generations with insights and knowledge to compete in today’s world with social, political, and economic transformation.

The Silicon Valley Latino Leadership Summit brings together Latino business leaders, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, thought leaders, prominent educators and business students to share their experiences and successes in today’s challenging world. Unlike other Latino-specific business events which can be celebratory in nature, the dynamic panelists and speakers at this summit will teach you how to raise capital, demonstrate how to be a successful entrepreneur and a transformational business leader.

Rep. Anchía maintains a genuine passion for helping people and true empathy for their struggles and aspirations. These qualities are a byproduct of his family background, varied professional training and numerous public, civic and volunteer commitments. During his service in the Legislature, Rep. Anchía has worked on legislation to fight crime, improve public safety, protect our environment and improve health coverage for women and children.

Influential Latino leaders will share their insight and strategies on how to transform the economic and social landscape for Latinos. Workshop 1: The Current State of Latino Leadership in Corporate America by Dr. Robert Rodriguez
Dr. Rodriguez will present on the current state of Latino leadership in corporate America. The discussion will be based on Latino executives and business challenges regarding their Latino talent management initiatives. Dr. Rodriguez serves as the catalyst for discovering new solutions for tapping into the Latino talent pool and consumer market. Robert's sessions will be engaging, high-energy and focused on practical solutions for the direction Latino Leadership in Corporate America.
Workshop 2: Empowering Images in Media and Politics by Dr. Federico Subervi
Dr. Subevri will review what many already know: the few and negatively stereotyped images of Latinos in the media. But more than just point out the limitations of the Latino portrayals, Subervi will offer guidelines that will be valuable for Latino leaders to keep in mind in our efforts to enhance Latinos' participation and acculturation in American society. Contributing to developing and disseminating empowering Latino images in media and politics should be, if not the first agenda item for Hispanic leaders and organizations, it should be the second goal—one that is certain to benefit Latino leaders, organization, and our communities at large.
